The first ± 160kV DC superconducting current limiter was successfully put into operation

On July 9, 2020, Bushing(Beijing) High Voltage Electric Co., Ltd. participated in the achievement of the national R&D plan “Research on key technologies of superconducting DC current limiter”led by China Southern Power Grid Corporation.The first ± 160kV DC superconducting current limiter was successfully put into operation in Rouzhi project of Nan'ao Island,China.

On January 15, 2021, the “ ±160kV Superconducting DC Current Limiter” project jointly completed by Guangdong Power Grid Co., Ltd., Beijing Jiaotong University, Bushing（Beijing）HV Electric Co., Ltd and other units organized and held a video technology achievements appraisal meeting. Academicians and experts agreed that the world's first large-capacity resistive superconducting DC current limiter has been successfully applied to Rouzhi project ,Nan'ao of Guangdong Power Grid.The overall performance has reached the international leading level.
